For movement in 2XKO, Most important to practice here is the wave dash, as you can use it to cover the screen very quickly.
When it comes to general offense, you can cycle your basic combos with L > M > H into specials. You can macro your throw to a single button under settings, or just press M+H (works backwards too and in the air).
Everyone has a univeral cross-up in the air by pressing down H as well as an anti-air with the same command on the ground.
Note that you can do a DP-like Get-Up Attack by pressing and holding S1 or S2, either button used for special moves.
WIth regards to defense, you have a few options:
- Retreating Guard: it doesn't cost meter, it pushes you back further while blocking. Be careful of getting cornered!
- Pushblock: Pushes the opponent back from you, but it costs 1 bar.
- Parry: Press L+H, costs meter but refunds it when successful. You need to do the low version for low moves.
There are many ways to use the Tag button; hold it for a quick tag, and press it with forward or back to use Assist actions, which can be charged, too. Use Dynamic Save to get out of your opponents' combos (T+S1 or S2).
You can even Taunt your opponent during the round start by pressing any of the directions! There is also a Taunt button to use during the match.
You can adjust the layouts in Settings > Controls. Choose what device you have, and then make sure to confirm the controls.
Check the Move List for individual character controls. Special moves are done just by pressing either the S1 or S2 button, and with or without directions. To do supers, double tap down and use those buttons.
