What does the Dead by Daylight preset change?

Dead by Daylight audio settings

Increased Immersion

Added power and depth at ١٠٠/١٢٠ Hz, to make the environmental cues more obvious and more immersive; enhanced heartbeat and Totem range sounds.

At ٦٠٠ Hz, enhanced the sound of vaulting over a window.

Generators and Survivor Sound

Enhanced at ٢٥٠٠/٣٥٠٠/٥٠٠٠ Hz

These enhance the generator sound, the sound of survivor foosteps, as well as panting and wailing VFX.

At ١٠٠٠٠ Hz, the Totem generation sound has also been boosted.

Enhanced Footsteps

Reduced bass at ٣٥/٣٠٠ Hz.

Even though bass brings immersive sound, it can obscure more useful sound cues. By reducing bass at these levels, Hatch sound and footsteps will be easier to hear.

As you can see, the preset really does a lot. It works to both give you a much greater degree of immersion, which is paramount in a game like Dead by Daylight where situational awareness is key, but it also will help you hear what you need at the right situation.

Purchase an Arctis Nova ٥ Wireless gaming headset now. Get this audio preset easily on PlayStation ٥ or Xbox with the Nova ٥ Companion App.
